Review of StrażakOSM
StrażakOSM is a mobile application that is essential for collecting special data for the OpenStreetMap project. With this application, users can easily and intuitively collect information about the geographic location of hydrants, classified by type and kind, as well as kilometer posts of national, regional, express and motorway roads. The collected data is sent to the AbakusOSM server where, after verification and moderation, it is added to the OpenStreetMap database.
The application also provides a map panel where users can verify the existing hydrant and kilometer post data in the database through the current view of their position and the map of the area. It requires a functioning GPS receiver for proper operation. Please note that this application is mainly intended for people involved in data acquisition in OpenStreetMap.
